VGIK is the first filmschool in the world. Training is performed by outstanding masters of Drama, Cinema and TV with using the methods, based on great traditions of Russian drama and cinema. While studying, students have a possibility to co-operate with students of other professions. Practically VGIK is training a film crew. VGIK has a professional Film Studio with 4 big pavilions and with all necessary facilities for shooting.

There are two dormitories for International Students. One Dormitory is situated in the district with modern conveniences near the largest city park. It is 5Å8 minutes walk from the metro station ëIsmaylovskaja¬ and from the food market. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the main building of the University from this dormitory. There are different facilities at the dormitory complex: a library, a student canteen, a cafeteria, and a storage room. The dormitory consists of twin rooms and a wash- room, w.c., a bathroom, a shower cabin and a kitchen on the floor. Rent is from 25 to 80 USD depending on living conditions. Another Dormitory is a part of University campus. It is about 10 minutes walk from city park, agriculture products market, food shops, University sports complex, metro station ëBaumanskaja¬. There are small shops, student canteen, cafeteria, and recreation facilities in the dormitory building. The dormitory consists of two room suits and one
room suits and one kitchen on the floor. Two room suit consists of a twin room, single room, a bathroom and w.c. One room suit consists of a single room, a bathroom and w.c. Rent is from 45 to 140 USD. All dormitories are guarded by special security staff of the University. The University is not responsible for arranging student living in hotels, private dwellings etc.

The oldest technical University in Russia. BMSTU graduates were the creators of entirely new types of machines. They have reached outstanding scientific and engineering achievements. For applicants, who do not have command of Russian language, provision is made for taking a preliminary intensive Russian language course. Students reside on campus where they enjoy a full Russian university experience in an international environment. IIEP provides double-occupancy furnished rooms (a number of single rooms available for extra charge). Students live, study, dine and relax with classmates from many different countries. They have the opportunity to share a residence hall room with someone from their own town or from another culture. Choose from modest two-bedrooms with a bath and kitchen facilities: from USD 35,- to USD 50,- per month, single room from USD 60,- to USD 100,- per month.

In free time students can go in for sports, sing in chorus, take part in Russian language club, take part in competition on subject, learn dancing, in the evening one can go to the cafe, on Saturday - to the dancing-hall. Students can get first medical help for free. The pay for education include pay for medical service, every students has medical insurance policy (USD 90,- per year).
