MGIMO International Summer School 2012.

MGIMO International Summer School 2012 offers lectures and classes in three terms:

  • Term I :                                             June, 11 – June, 22
  • Term II (two separate modules):       June, 25 – July, 13
  • Term III:                                            July, 16 – August, 03

Term I consists of one module

Module I includes:

  • A major course (“Russian Culture”) - 16 contact hours with final written exam, 1 ECTS credit;
  • Russian language course - 30 contact hours, 2 ECTS credits.

Term II consists of two modules

Module II includes:

  • A major course (“Foreign Russian Policy: modern challenges”) – 30 contact hours with final written exam, 4 ECTS credits;
  • Two elective courses (“Empirical study of Russian politics”; “Russia in Asia and Africa: politics and security”) – 16 contact hours each, 1 ECTS credit;
  • Russian language course - 30 contact hours, 2 ECTS credits.

Module III includes:

  • A major course (“Change and continuity in Russian politics”) – 30 contact hours with final written exam, 4 ECTS credits;
  • Two elective courses (“Empirical study of Russian politics”; “Russia in Asia and Africa: politics and security”) – 16 contact hours each, 1 ECTS credit;
  • Russian language course - 30 contact hours, 2 ECTS credits.

Term III consists of one module

  • One major course (“Contemporary Russian Energy policy”) – 30 contact hours with final written exam, 4 ECTS credits;
  • Two elective courses (“Russia in world economy”; “Russian policy in Asia-Pacific region”) - 16 contact hours each, 1 ECTS credit;
  • Russian language course - 30 contact hours, 2 ECTS credits.

Fee:

Module I - EUR 1000;

Module II - EUR 2000 (EUR 1700 without Russian language course);

Module III - EUR 2000 (EUR 1700 without Russian language course);

Module IV - EUR 2000 (EUR 1700 without Russian language course).

The fee covers tuition and application, accommodation and most part of the cultural and leisure time program.

The language of instruction is English.

Participans: undergraduate and graduate students.

Accommodation: students dormitory on campus, shared double-rooms. Food places are at the dorm and University, reasonable prices.

Visa: will be arranged by MGIMO International Office.

Cultural and Leisure Time Program: A wide variety of optional cultural and social events are offered twice a week during the Summer School in Moscow and surrounding area.
